Re:Zero Season 2 Episode 29 Release Date, Spoilers

We begin the second season of the anime Re: Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu.

The 2nd season will continue the story from where it ended in season 1 after Emilia is announced as a candidate for becoming the Ruler of the Kingdom and Subaru chosen to be her Knight.

Targeting Emilia, the half-elf, we will see new Sins from the Witch’s Cult getting involved. This season will dive deeper into Satella’s relationship with Subaru. Introducing new characters and challenges, we are here to provide you with the latest updates!

1. Episode 29 Title & Release Date

Episode 29 of the Re: Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Season 2 anime, for which the title has not been revealed yet. It will be released on Wednesday, July 29, 2020. 

In the next episode, the father and son meet again! Emilia also faces a trial of her own!

I. Is Re:Zero Season 2 on a Break This Week?

No, episode 29 of the Re: Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Season 2 anime will be released as per its schedule; so far, no such delay is announced. The anime comes out weekly every Wednesday.

2. Episode 29 Preview & Speculation

The preview for the next Episode 29 was not shown, nor its title revealed at the end of episode 28, but we are speculating Subaru will face his past in the real world as part of undergoing the trial.

The reunion between Subaru and his father is something to look forward to in the next episode! Emilia will also face her hearing; she will have to overcome it without Subaru’s help. The next episode will bring us the backstories of our lead characters!

3. Recap of Episode 28

I. Echidna, the Witch of Greed!

Episode 28, titled “The Long-Awaited Reunion,” begins with Subaru meeting Echidna, the Witch of Greed! Subaru asks Echidna where he was as he teleported from the dark ruins.

She merely invited her guest to her tea party and asked him to join her, which Subaru accepts, to get further in the conversation he gulps down the tea without any thought. She enlightens him by telling him that it was her body fluid.

He continues to ask her why he appeared there, but she waves off the matter, saying he came in on his own accord. She gets rid of unnecessary things to have a dialogue with him and to affirm his greed.

II. Curious cat

In the unknown space, she tells him to ask her anything and talks about all the original witches belonging to the seven sins.

Slowly, she guides her words to mention the most detestable Witch who killed all the other witches but doesn’t call the name only says ‘her’ (Satella) the Witch of envy and seeks his curiosity.

Visibly shaken, Subaru can’t find any words but suddenly feels a shock run through his body. Echidna noticing it tells him the tea took its effect faster than she imagined, she used the envy witch factor to strengthen his resistance so that they could talk in leisure.

Still not following her, Echidna explains that Subaru has been chosen by the sloth witch factor as its new dwelling, after killing the one who possessed it before. That’s why Subaru was able to enter the Witch’s graveyard, where her soul was held as the prisoner. The so-called Sanctuary!

III. He Fights Then Talks.

 Subaru understanding everything plans his leave, making Echidna eager to answer more questions. But he wants to get back to Emilia as soon as possible.

She grows more frantic to have a conversation, but he turns his back and tells her he is not interested in her unparalleled knowledge.

She opens the portal for him and takes his vow not to disclose the tea party and grants him the right to face the Sanctuary’s trial.

Once Subaru gets outside, he forgets their meeting and is attacked by Garfiel, who stops after Subaru proves his acquaintance with Frederica. Together with Garfiel, they reach the Sanctuary.

IV. The Unexpected Reunion!

Ram greets them once they reach their destination. They go inside to find Roswaal covered in bandages. Roswaal tells them about the Witch’s graveyard; they were kept in.

Subaru, who had forgotten about his meeting with Echidna because of her magic, feels a familiar ring when he hears Roswaal call her name.

Roswaal tells them about everyone not being able to leave the Sanctuary and rebelling, which resulted in Roswaal’s injuries from being rejected by the trial.

Subaru meets the villagers and updates them about the current circumstances; he tells them about Emilia undergoing the trial to save them.

When Emilia extends her hand to gain their friendship, they accept after being moved by her words. Emilia gets recognized as a qualified challenger and begins the trail! However, when the light goes out, worried about Emilia, Subaru enters the trial.

He finds Emilia collapsed on the floor, but before he could save her, Subaru falls too as he is set to face his past, he wakes up in his room with his dad greeting him in the morning!

The Re: Zero − Starting Life in Another World anime television is an adaptation of a light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichirou Otsuka.

The series is directed by Masaharu Watanabe and written by Masahiro Yokotani, with animation by the studio White Fox. Kyuta Sakai is serving as both character designer and as chief animation director.

It follows the story of Subaru Natsuki, who is a NEET and does nothing but play games. One night, after visiting a convenience store, he is suddenly summoned to another world.

With no sign of who summoned him, he soon befriends a silver-haired half-elf girl named Emilia and her companion, Puck. The second season continues from where the story left off in the first.
