2. Ranma 1/2 Episode 5 Recap
After seeing that Akane’s hair was chopped, Ranma felt quite guilty, and one could see it on his face as well. Since both he and Ryouga felt that they had done her bad, they both offered to be hit by her, and she took their offer as well. Akane, however, was mostly expressionless… until she was alone with herself. She seemed to be quite upset and emotional, which is to be expected.
After seeing a bit of Ranma following Akane around with his guilty face, Akane finally decided to have her hair fixed by Kasumi (who was also very shocked by her new look). It would seem that Akane decided to grow her hair out because she noticed that the chiropractor liked Kasumi, who had long hair.
Akane’s hair held quite a bit of her emotions, and yet, she decided to face reality. So she had her hair shaped and headed over to the chiropractor’s place to have her ankles checked. Over there, the doctor was shocked to see her new look, but he complimented her by saying she looked better with short hair, like the old days. On hearing this, Akane bawled her eyes out and came to terms with the fact that her love would always be unrequited.
After Akane’s visit, on their way back, Ranma was still quite concerned about Akane. When he tried to cheer her up, she admitted that she had given up on the doctor since he so obviously liked Kasumi. At this point Ranma told her that she looks cuter with short hair (he was pretty much blushing at this point). He managed to cheer her up, and they patched things up after Akane pushed him into the river.
Well if things weren’t crazy enough with Ryouga, he’s made it a bit more crazier as he showed up in the middle of the night to the Tendou Dojo to attack Ranma while he was sleeping. Remember how Ryouga kept saying Ranma ruined his life? Well, there’s finally an explanation for that now.
In between their fight, Ryouga revealed that he followed Ranma to China to duel him, and quite unfortunately, he also ended up falling into a pool of cursed water. This was also a direct consequence of a battle between Ranma and his dad. He holds a grudge because he now has to transform into a little piggy every time he touches cold water! Now, Ryouga’s revenge is a little more just since even Ranma’s dad transforms into a majestic panda and not a pathetic yet cute pig.
Following this, peculiar circumstances led to Akane picking up Ryouga, who had transformed into a pig. She decided to keep it since she didn’t know it was Ryouga and felt bad for it as it was hurt and wet.
Out of respect for Ryouga, Ranma decided not to tell Akane about Ryouga and snuck into her room in the middle of the night to take matters into his own hands. Unfortunately, a little brawl between him and the piggy put Ryouga in a compromised position.
3. What Will Happen In Episode 6 of Ranma 1/2?
We can expect Ranma to suffer Akane’s wrath after what he pulled off in her bedroom. After this, Ranma is pretty much going to be on Ryouga, who’s taken a bit of a liking to Akane. Since Ranma seemed reluctant to reveal Ryouga’s secret, we can expect him to try and talk things out with Ryouga.
However, if things don’t go his way, we can expect Ryouga’s pig form to be revealed since Ranma 1/2 has been revealing everything since episode one.
