Ragna and Crimson need to find their way out of the mess. They need to figure out how to either earn Starlia’s favor or escape safely. Now that Starlia is in love with Ragna, she might be willing to listen to Ragna and Crimson.
On the other hand, Ultimatia supposedly failed to save her sister and has nightmares about it. We might learn more about Ultimatia’s powers reducing and her ‘godly sister’. We might also see if Ragna and Crimson can sort out the mess they are in and go back to hunt dragons.

Episode 9 of ‘Ragna Crimson’ is titled “Negotiation and True Nature.” The episode begins with a flashback to seven years ago. Princess Starlia killed Lieutenant General Pereiro because he planned to betray their country. When questioned about how she knew, Starlia reveals that all it takes is one look to decide who to kill.
Meanwhile, in the present, Crimson has planned a way to deceive Starlia and her ability. He decides to reveal his dragon eyes while setting up a bait. Crimson’s aura turns blue, which is for truth. Crimson tells about the attack on the capital in great detail while omitting the fact that he was the reason behind it.
However, Starlia catches the lies and explains how her ability actually works. Crimson thought he could fool her by manipulating his aura. However, Starlia actually looks at the color of the aura, to tell the truth from lies. Funnily enough, Crimson’s aura is blue, but Starlia thinks it smells fishy.
Starlia’s sword lets her sense people’s true nature, and she senses a pitch-black mass of death from Crimson. She orders her men to attack Crimson, who has just accepted his fate. He won’t die, but he would still have preferred forming a beneficial connection with Starlia.
However, Ragna saves Crimson by holding Starlia’s sword off. Starlia starts losing her cool, and Ragna and Crimson are thoroughly confused. Starlia sees Ragna, who is infused with a silver sword, as a sword with arms and legs.
Another flashback of Starlia has Nazarena telling her that she is not grounded anymore. Starlia has been so invested in sword-making activities that her engagement got cancelled. Starlia is not bothered, but Nazarena wants Starlia to get married so she can enjoy her early retirement.
Starlia immediately falls in love at first sight when she sees Ragna. Ragna offers his and Crimson’s obedience in exchange for sparing Crimson’s life. They get locked up until further notice, and they decide to sort their issues out.
While Ragna apologizes for all his losses, Crimson revives Slime. Crimson also explains the current situation to Ragna. Meanwhile, Garm is moping about being defeated by Ragna, which leads to the corps gossiping about the whole situation. Starlia is daydreaming about Ragna and gets whacked by Nazarena.
Nazarena asks Starlia to pull herself together because she needs to be a leader for the corps. Starlia promises to perform all her duties and live up to her title, the ‘Silverware Princess.’ Ultimatia wakes up from a nightmare and has a rude awakening about her powers not being as strong as they used to be.

The story follow Ragna, who is a dragon hunter along with his partner, the strongest dragon hunter Leo. He didn’t have much talent at hunting dragons but he had decided to entrust his whole life for her. However he was shown the feel of true despair by his future self on what would happen if he stays weak as he is now.
