Fans of the famous anime “Radiant” may be surprised to hear that the series was inspired by a French comic of the same name. “Radiant” is the first Manfra, a French comic that takes direct influence from Japanese manga, to be published in Japan.

Seth survived his Nemesis ten years ago, leaving him a Sorcerer with two little horns as his curse mark. He then begins a journey to discover the Nemeses’ home world of Radiant and bring them to justice. Doc (Shintarou Oohata), a researcher and Sorcerer, and Ocoho (Mai Fuchigami), a gifted young girl who begins as an apprentice of the Order of the Knight-Sorcerers of Cyfandir.

She later becomes a princess and the heir of Queen Boudica (Yukana), the monarch of Caislean Merlin, who has a sickness that causes her to grow to be five times the size of a regular human.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an anime if Seth didn’t encounter his fair share of enemies, like the Inquisition, a military group that tries to expand its authority while perpetuating a terrible image of the Infected individuals like Seth who survive Nemeses assaults.

The Bravery Quartet, a gang of thieves and swindlers that wreak havoc in Pharenos, is another threat.

What will Radiant Season 3 be about?

In the first plot of “Radiant,” the naïve Seth faces Nemeses on his own for the first time, concluding that he must seek down and destroy the source of Radiant. People that survive Nemeses assaults are referred to as “Infected.”
