After the arrival of Title Update 1.2.0, Ubisoft had to get rid of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla Season 2 content. A plethora of players reported an increasing number of “continuous” crashes “in and around Ravensthorpe”, the place where the Ostara Festival is being held.
Even though AC: Valhalla is not a buggy game, fans have had encountered an ever-rising amount of glitches in Ravensthorpe.
It is an important location in the game that houses the huge potential for new quests and rewards. However, with the Ravensthorpe region hosting Ostara Festival, the game started crashing every now and then.
Thankfully, the issue didn’t escape Ubisoft’s notice.
Ubisoft confirmed the crashing of AC: Valhalla and promised to address the issue.
“Our team is working on a solution that should be ready sometime next week. We thank you for your patience in the meantime”,
Ubisoft
A day later, Ubisoft took to Twitter once again, but this time with a hotfix that fixes the crashing of AC: Valhalla’s Ravensthorpe region temporarily. The company pointed fingers towards the new content that the Ostara Festival brought along for the crashes.
Consequently, decorations and quests are being removed from the Ostara Festival for the time being.
“We’re deploying a server-side hotfix to address a rise in crashing near Ravensthorpe,”
Ubisoft
“Settlement decorations will be temporarily removed, and Ostara Festival quests involving decorations will not be completable. Thanks for your patience as our team releases a permanent fix soon!”
Ubisoft
Now that fans will not be able to enjoy the seasonal festivities, Ubisoft will likely extend the Ostara Festival once the new and permanent update is set to be rolled out. As of now, the exact release date of the same hasn’t been announced.
The Ostara Festival started on March 18 and will last till April 8.
