Quentin Tarantino recently announced that he would end his feature directorial career after his tenth and final film. Though he had a few ideas at the time, close to nothing was confirmed apart from the fact that the film would come sometime. But now Tarantino has shared a disappointing update for his final film.
The famous American director shared on YMH Studios’ interview on YouTube that he currently has no idea about what the film could be. In the interview, when questioned if his final film’s script was ready, Tarantino answered, “No, I haven’t even thought about it yet.”
The director is best known for the Kill Bill film series, Pulp Fiction, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Tarantino had even previously shown interest in Kill Bill 3 being his final film, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.
The director has suggested other ideas after his announcement, including a John Brown biopic, a possible horror flick, or another gangster-style movie. But Tarantino envisions his final film to be his original work, so he still has some options left to choose from.
For now, the only work from Tarantino his fans can enjoy is his book and an eight-part limited series he plans to write and direct. We may finally get the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood spinoff series, Bounty Law!
We hope Tarantino finds time to think about his final film, but since his fans demand perfection, we know better not to rush him. We’ll keep you in the loop if we get any other updates.
