Recently, the official website for the Psycho-Pass stage play revealed that the 1st season of the psycho pass would get stage play adaptation in October. The title of the play is- Psycho-PassChapter 1 -Hanzai Keisū- (Crime Coefficient). This play will be staged at Shinagawa Prince Hotel Stellar Ball in Tokyo. The play is scheduled to run from October 25 to November 10.

Team Information

Gen Urobuchi is responsible for providing the original concept and script for the anime. He is the supervising director of the stage play too. Kaori Miura is directing the play, and Shinjirō Kameda is responsible for writing the scripts.

This play will feature all the mentioned characters and the plot will revolve around the story of season 1. This is the whole new cast which is going to participate in this stage play and Psycho-Pass’ anime’s chief director Katsuyuki Motohiro will direct the play. Production I.G is credited as story supervisor.

Plot

Psycho-Pass takes us to the future era ( 22nd century) of Japan. Every citizen of the era follows a system known as “Sibyl System.” The Sibyl System established by the Public Safety Bureau to manage the crime rate of the 22nd century of Japan. Sibyl system is the powerful networking system of psychometric scanners, which actively scans the mental state of the population. This whole assessment is known as – Psycho-Pass. The system measures the Crime Coefficient of an individual. Here is the crime coefficient table-

Under 100 ‒ Suspect is not a target. The trigger of Dominator( weapon to shoot suspect) will be locked.
100 to 299 ‒Suspect is classified as a criminal and is a target required enforcement action. Dominators will automatically set to Non-Lethal Paralyzer mode. The suspect can then be knocked out using the Dominator.
Over 300 ‒ Suspect stand a severe threat to society. Enforcement is authorized. Dominator will automatically switch to Lethal Eliminator. Suspect that is hit by Lethal Eliminator will explode immediately.
