Psycho-Pass is a show that has always been shrouded in mystery as it is an original anime without a manga or novel to adapt it from. Naturally, anime-watchers and manga-readers alike were baffled by every episode as it came out.
The franchise’s anime started in 2012 and ended in 2019 with season 3, and its final act was the film Psycho-Pass 3: First Inspector in 2020.
After two years, in 2022, the series announced a new film, Psycho-Pass: Providence, as part of its 10th Anniversary project.
Kicking off with its usual themes of cyberpunk and dystopia, the trailer shows a digital countdown from October 2012 to October 2022.
The video teases all the characters we’ve come to love in these ten years. First, we get a glimpse of the main characters of the original 2012 series that, consists of Akane, Shinya, and more.
Following this, the trailer moves on to Psycho-Pass 2, which came out in October 2014. Keeping up with the trend, the video shows glimpses from Psycho-Pass 3, which debuted in October 2019, and October 2020’s First Inspector.
Lastly, it concludes by teasing the 10th-anniversary project in October 2022, with the upcoming film as a part. The franchise has also shared a teaser visual for it.
The production of the latest series, “PSYCHO-PASS PROVIDENCE theatrical version,” has also been decided!
