The official website of Pretty Boy Detective Club announced that the series will be inspiring an anime. A new visual for the upcoming anime was released along with the staff details. The anime will premiere in 2021.
The visual contains the members of the Pretty Boy Detective Club posing in a welcoming manner. The members are Sousaku Yubiwa, Michiru Fukuroi, Manabu Soutouin, Nagahiro Sakiguchi, and Hyouta Ashikaga.
Studio SHAFT is producing the anime and presenting it with Kodansha and Aniplex.

Pretty Boy Detective Club was first launched as a novel series from 2015-2019. It was later adapted into a manga in 2016, which was published in the Aria magazine.
The novel has a total of 11 volumes. The 10th volume announced the anime adaptation in November 2019. The manga currently has five volumes.
Since the series is by Nisio Isin, the celebrated creator of the Monogatari and Bakemonogatari series, the anime is much anticipated by fans.
