What you need to know before starting Shadow of the Erdtree? – Elden Ring Guide

With challenging missions and taxing combat, Elden Ring is anything but an easy game to play. The Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is just as difficult. Of course, for something as such, you want to be prepared well before diving into the Lands Between. Shadow of the Erdtree is scheduled to launch on June 20th. Check out this guide to know everything you must do before starting Shadow of the Erdtree.

Shadow of the Erdtree can be called another one of Elden Ring’s endgame areas. To reach it, you will need to defeat an endgame boss. So, make sure you have fully upgraded your weapons, flasks and reached at least level 120. 

Level 120 ensures that you can boost your Vigor and main attack stat such that you are in a comfortable position when facing enemies. 

How to quickly level up?

If you have already reached Elden Ring’s endgame and wish to level up, head over to Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace in Mohgwyn Palace.

Warp to this location and walk forward. Look to your left, down a slope, and you will spot several Albinaurics. They will only retaliate once attacked so carefully plan your approach and take them out. 

The most efficient way is to use an AOE spell. Once every single one is eliminated, go back to the Site of Grace and take a beater. Repeat this process as many times as you want. 

Tip: If you have the Golden Scarab talisman, equip it beforehand to receive more runes.

There’s no upper character level before starting Shadow of the Erdtree. However, just to be safe, aim for anywhere between level 120-150. That’s all you need to do before Shadow of the Erdtree launches!
