Blizzard is gearing up to launch the upcoming installation of its Diablo IP – Diablo IV. The upcoming title picks up after the events of Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls DLC expansion pack.
As per the official announcement by Blizzard, all those who have purchased the Digital Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of Diablo IV will get early access ahead of the official launch. The early access kicks off on June 1st at 4 pm PDT, and the official launch for all versions is four days later, June 5th at 4 pm PDT. Pre-Loading the game, however, will be available starting May 30th from 4 pm PDT for all versions of Diablo IV.
This pre-load option is available across all platforms. On Windows PCs, the Battle.net client has to be fired up, Diablo IV added to the favorites, and from the dropdown menu, it has to be installed.
As for the Xbox and PlayStation, it’s relatively simple, with the players just having to Download it and play it whenever the game is ready to launch.
It must be kept in mind that the gameplay is not entirely alien to the fans who have purchased the game. Diablo IV was made available for early testing and beta in mid-March.
The developers have not sat back after releasing the game as an open beta. They have worked on balancing the game based on the feedback they got from the community.
Earlier, the developers had fixed the balancing issues regarding the nerfed Necromancer minions in the server slam this month.
As a part of a developer Livestream, the game director Joe Piepiora confirmed that Diablo IV comes packed with a strong post-launch roadmap.
He promised quarterly updates bringing new features and mechanics while improving the world within the game. Also promised was “meaty” story content every three months.
Fans can also earn special rewards by watching Twitch channels during the first four weeks of Diablo IV launch.
Each week, the viewers must watch at least three hours of eligible content. Week one would include trophies and weapon skins for the Rogue and Necromancer classes.
In week 2, the rewards would target the Sorcerer class, followed by Druid in Week 3 and Barbarian in Week 4. Unique mount – Primal Instinct mount – can also be unlocked by gifting two Twitch subscriptions after linking Blizzard and Twitch accounts.
June looks exciting for Diablo fans. With the release of the upcoming title filled with lore and gripping tales of the Sanctuary, the coming few weeks will very exciting.
