Raq takes Kanan on a camping trip to the Catskills. She wants to bond with her son, but also get rid of the body they’d been hiding in the building, and the woods are the perfect place to do so.
However, trouble finds the duo when two men from the Italian mafia start following them and decide to kill Raq by breaking into her cabin.
1. Episode 6 Speculation
Raq and Dominic have a close call with the Italians and Raq cleverly avoids any bloodshed as it could cause the Italian mafia to retaliate two-folds. However, it is unlikely that she is going to let an attempt at her son’s life slide.
Unless both gangs reach a settlement, it is possible that a full-fledged war will break out between the two.
Additionally, Kanan is starting to feel on edge around his mother. The camping trip may have strengthened their bond, but he still has his suspicions after what Howard told him, and they are only likely to grow.
It is only a matter of time before Kanan finds out the truth.

5. Episode 5 Recap
Raq informs Kanan that they’re going to the Catskills for a camping trip. He’s surprised to learn that no other family members will be joining them.
Raq does have a secondary motive for going to the woods—to get rid of the corpse they’d been hiding. She has Marvin put the body in the trunk of the car. The Italian mafia had eyes on Marvin, which eventually leads them to Raq.
Boselli’s men, Jimmy and Dominic follow the mother-son due to the Catskills and they decide to put a hit out on Raq. Dominic, who is a raging racist, wants to kill them both despite Jimmy’s warning that this would enrage their boss.
Jimmy attempts to break into the cabin to kill Raq but she puts a knife to his throat. Hannah tells Raq that Dominic is after Kanan and she rushes to his aid.

Created by Sascha Penn, Power Book III: Raising Kanan is an American crime drama series part of the Power franchise. The show is a prequel and second spin-off to the original Power series.
The series is set in the 90s and follows the early years of Kanan Stark as he starts off his career in the drug trafficking industry.
The series premiered in July 18, 2021 and is currently airing its second season.
