Raq’s drug supply is intercepted by the Italians as the truck enters their territory. They beat the truck driver to send a message to Raq. Meanwhile, Kanan is still clearly struggling with the revelation that Defcon might not be his biological father and he visits his uncle Vernon to talk to him about it.
Raq is preoccupied with the Italians and doesn’t notice when Kanan steals from her again. However, when he leaves the house in the middle of the night, she starts to get suspicious.

5. Episode 4 Recap
The turf war is fully underway as a truck shipment containing Raq’s drug supply is intercepted by the Italians in Newark. Boselli’s men beat the driver brutally. Her plan to expand her operation to New Jersey isn’t going as planned.
Raq meets with Cartier at his art gallery and he explains how he uses the gallery to launder money. She can’t help but be impressed by this tactic.
Meanwhile, Marvin drives Kanan to the prison where his uncle Vernon is being held. He asks Vernon if Defcon is really his father, and Vernon confirms.
Later, Kanan confronts Raq about why she had tasked him with killing Detective Howard. Raq cleverly flips the situation and tells him that Howard intended to send him to prison for murdering Buck Twenty.
