A bold and young independent woman falls prey to a rich, feisty, powerful man who gives her 365 days (365 dni) to fall in love with him. To be followed by a string of thrilling adventures, spersed with both pain and pleasure. Ring any bells?
Well, it’s not Fifty Shades of Grey, and the guy is definitely not a millionaire. It is the Polish book adaptation 365 Dni (Days), and the guy is a criminal mafia boss. Meanwhile, the word is this Polish drama will make the Grey series PG13 in comparison.
Based on the steamy erotica of the same name by author Blanka Lipinska, 365 Dni is being deemed the Polish version of the American Fifty Shades of Grey. It follows a sales director, Laura, who goes on a trip to Sicily where the story picks up.
Laura is kidnapped by Massimo, played by popular Polish stars Anna Maria Sieklucka and Michele Morrone, respectively. While in captivity, Laura is tied up and forced ‘to fall in love’ with Massimo in 365 days or bear the unholier consequences.
Adapting the books for the feature film is filmmaker Barbara Bialowas, who wrote and directed the erotic thriller.
After a successful theatre run in the last few months, the erotica is now headed to streaming platform Netflix. Premiering on June 7, the film will be released as per the usual Midnight California time or PST.
While there is no official announcement of the same, Netflix always releases any production at Midnight PST, given that it is headquartered out of California. In case of any anomalies, we are informed in advance.
In the absence of any official statement, it is a given that the time is Midnight PST or 3 am ET if you are on the East Coast.
The film was already released on Netflix UK a few weeks ago. For those of you who’ve already seen the film, comment below and let others know how you liked it.
