A police dog will shortly arrive, and everyone but Kawai seems wary. Kawai volunteers to search with the dog, and the others play rock, paper, scissors to decide who’ll accompany her, and Minamoto loses.

The dog makes them run a marathon, and Kawai finally realizes the gravity of her decision. She trips on a tree root and gets a spontaneous nervous breakdown. To hell with the police who don’t give you time to drink water or pee.

Fuji and Yamada are calling around for the missing man but see a bunch of abandoned furniture that could be linked to crimes.

Fuji and Yamada ignore them because who wants more work? They abruptly come onto the scene where Minamoto gives Kawai some water and asks her to empty her bladder with no restraints.

The old man is found after the local shaman tells them where he is. The four of them can go back home, but before that, they must salute dog-sama. The next day they are put to marathon traffic duty.

Kawai doesn’t want to operate traffic lights because she’s afraid she’ll cause an accident. The police radio them to look for a male black shirt-wearing teen. She goes to look for him, to dodge traffic duty.

She finds him and runs after him but falls into a canal instead. She’s injured, and her clothes are torn while Fuji and Minamoto get to watch the marathon.
