4/1 (Friday) is #Pokémon 25th anniversary

From 6:55 on April 1st (Friday), the gorgeous two-pronged “VS Four Tenno 1 Hour Battle Special” will be broadcast ‼

Citron (Clemont) and Eureka (Bonnie), who traveled to the Kalos region with Satoshi (Ash) in the anime “Pokemon XY” and “Pokemon XY & Z”, will reappear.

Pokémon Journeys is the 23rd season of the franchise and the special will mark a continuation of the popular series. The first part is titled “Ash & Clemont!

Special Friendship Training” where we’ll see Ash journeying to Lumiose City, of the Kalos region. He goes there to battle in the World Coronation Series.

Here, something awry will occur with the wild duck pokemon Sirfetch’d (the fighting type first introduced in Gen 8), as Ash reunites with X and Y companions Clemont and Bonnie. Sirfetch’d will likely learn Meteor Assault in this special.

For the second part, Ash heads to Lumiose City as he ends up needing to face off against a member of Kalos’ Elite Four – Drasna for his next battle in the World Coronation Series.

The match will be in Lumiose Stadium, where the Kalos League took place.

Ash has to do some training before he takes on his next tough challenge. Given that Ash is closer to the Master Class’ Top 8 than ever before, it only makes sense that his battle will be tougher than ever.

So much is happening in this special that I’m already loving!

It’s a two-parter with the first one being a proper build-up, which is what I wanted the match with Marnie to be. Clemont & Bonnie are returning, and we even get a training segment similar to when Ash trained with Greninja.

With the final member of the Kalos Elite Four appearing, Ash will have to use Sirfetch’d & Dracovish. Both of which need serious focus.

Ash is (most likely) going to finally beat an Elite Four member, which is something we’ve wanted to see since his battle with Drake back in AG. At this point, I don’t care how the match turns out, I’m going to love this special regardless.
