The Pokémon anime has been a constant in popular culture for more than two decades, captivating the hearts and minds of viewers of all ages with its colorful world, amusing creatures, and exciting adventures.
Enter Pokémon Horizons: The Series, a new anime that aims to shake up the genre by reimagining the basic Pokémon formula. Pokémon Horizons promises to be a bold and daring departure from earlier editions of the franchise, with a new protagonist, a new location to explore, and a brand-new adventure.
On Monday, the August edition of Shogakukan’s Ciao magazine revealed that Rikka Kise would release a new manga based on the new Pokémon Horizons: The Series anime, titled Pocket Monster Yorimichi Volteccers!! (Pokémon Detouring Volt Tacklers!!) in the magazine’s next issue on August 3.
Kahori Orito also revealed on their Twitter account that the same issue published the final chapter of their Pocket Monster ~Liko no Takaramono~ (Pocket Monster ~Liko’s Treasure~) manga. The manga launched on May 2 earlier this year.
While not a lot has been revealed, it can be presumed that the manga is set to focus on the group members showing their funny side, which is evident from the upcoming manga being a gag series.
About Pokemon Horizons: The Series
Pokemon Horizons: The Series is a new project in the Pokemon Franchise that features a whole new story after the conclusion of the journey of the previous protagonist, Ash Ketchum. The anime will adapt elements from the game Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.
Liko from the Paldea region and Roy from the Kanto region join the Rising Volt Tacklers led by Friede and Captain Pikachu. They are joined by Orla, Mollie, Murdock, and Ludlow. Together, they explore the world in an airship.
On their way, they will encounter a trio called the Explorers with Amethio, Zir, and Conia as its members, and Nidothing, a popular streamer.
