The battle for the master’s eight finally began in episode 110 of Pokemon 2019, titled, “VS Kibana! The Battle for the Master’s Eight!!”
It was yet another insane battle. Both sides were over the top with their attacks and defenses. Kibana fought hard, but unfortunately, the anime isn’t about him, so he has to face defeat.
I wanted Kibana to win this match as he deserved this win and had more purpose behind the fighting. Satoshi got a final minute motivation and refused to give up, emerging victorious against a really tough competitor.
Here are the latest updates.
Episode 110 Speculation
Satoshi and Gou will fight new challengers in episode 110 of Pokemon 2019, titled “Battle Royale of Betrayal.”
Tokio will show up in the next episode, and he is probably going to team up with Gou, but it looks like some cheating and betrayal is going on. This will be a filler episode, although we had two canon episodes back to back, so this episode might act as a breath of fresh air.
It might be a skippable episode as it is just some side adventure, but who knows, we might get some fun out of it. Let’s wait and watch.

Episode 109 Recap
Satoshi arrives at the battle venue a little early. Kibana arrives there too, and the two start talking. They find Dande sleeping on the ground nearby as he doesn’t want to be late for the match.
The time for the match arrives, and both of them start their match with Kibana fighting with Flygon and Satoshi with Kairyu. Their attacks do equal damage, but Flygon slowly starts getting the upper hand. This leads to the defeat of Kairyu.
Satoshi calls him back and sends Ganger next. Ganger’s defense helps him against the rigorous attacks of Flygon. Flygon still has the upper hand, but Ganger refuses to give up. Satoshi calls back Ganger and has now Kyodiamaxed Ganger. Now he is able to fight better and ultimately defeats Flygon.
Kibana sends Numelgon next. Numelgon puts Ganger on the back foot, but he refuses to get back into the pokemon ball when Satoshi calls him back. He resists Numelgon’s attack with a full blow, and their battle ends with both of them defeated.
Now it is time for their final pokemons. Kibana sends Duraludon and Satoshi sends Lucario. Kibana doesn’t afford to lose, so he Kyodiamaxes Duraludon even before their battle starts.
Both of them engage in a fierce battle. Duraludon is unaffected by Lucario’s attacks, and Lucario ends up tired because of all the attacks.
Kibana gets ready to use his final attack Kyodai Decay to end it all for once. However, Lucario begins resisting it and starts creating an aura sphere. He starts connecting with Satoshi, and Satoshi can feel his aura. The sphere gets bigger and bigger, and at last, he fires it at Duraludon.
Duraludon is defeated, and Satoshi is the winner of the hard-fought battle. Everyone is overjoyed by his win. Kibana comes up to Satoshi and tells him not to lose to anyone as he is the one who will defeat Dande and him. He takes a selfie with Satoshi and leaves.
Satoshi is now in the top eight, and now it is time for the master’s tournament. The ultimate battles are near.
