Pokemon 2019 Episode 88: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Episode 87 of Pokemon 2019, titled “The Ice Queen and Glacia” and was the latest installment in the series. 

The previous episode introduces the character of Regina, a shy girl, and a transfer student. She has an ice-type Pokemon, Glacia, who freezes anyone who comes near her. This leads to Regina having no friends because everyone becomes weary of her.

Koharu befriends Regina, and we find out that the real reason why Glacia freezes everyone is that she wants to protect her master from bullies. Regina apologizes to her classmates and makes Glacia believe that everyone is not a bully.

 What adventure will Satoshi and friends go on next? We’ll find out in the next episode.

Episode 88 Speculation

In episode eighty-eight, we met a new character, Regina, and her Pokemon, Glacia. Regina earned the title of the ice queen because Glacia would freeze anyone who came near Regina. This over-protection resulted in Regina having no friends.

At Kuchiba city, Regina meets Koharu, Satoshi, and Go, who treat her with kindness, and eventually, even Glacia’s cold heart melts. 

In the next episode, Satoshi and Go will go on an underwater adventure. We’ll meet some new water-type Pokemon as the duo goes on a treasure hunt to capture a wild Kingdra. 

Episode 88 Release Date

Episode 87 of the Pokemon Journeys: The Series anime, titled “The Deep Sea Diving Research Team”, has been released on Friday, Nov 19, 2021.

I. Pokemon on Break this Week?

Pokemon 2019 is not on a break and will continue as per schedule. No such delay has been announced.

Episode 87 Recap

The episode opens with a girl named Regina landing in Kuchiba city. Next, we see Satoshi and his friends leaving for school. On their way, Koharu spots Reginal playing with Glacia, an ice-type Pokemon. She is intrigued but loses them when Satoshi calls out to her.

Satoshi and Go give a presentation, introducing Satoshi, his likes and dislikes. After the presentation, Regina enters the classroom with Glacia as a transfer student. Koharu volunteers to show her the Pokemon garden, where Glacia will stay while their classes go on.

Koharu tells Glacia about herself and her friends. She tells her that Satoshi and Go live with her at her father’s research lab at the Sakuragi institute. This reminds Regina of her parents talking about Glacia being examined in the same institute and gets a little worried.

When Regina returns, the class bombards her with questions, overwhelming her. Glacia comes right on time to save her and freezes everyone. Regina gets another flashback of her old classmates calling her an ice queen because Glacia froze them too. This time, Pikachu and others follow Glacia and save everyone from freezing.

We then cut to Regina’s parents talking to the professor about Glacia. They tell him that she freezes anything she dislikes, which has become a massive problem for Regina. They want him to examine the Pokemon to find out if there’s something wrong.

Later, Koharu tries to befriend Regina, but she tells her that it is her last day. Regina walks off, saying that the teacher is calling for her. Koharu assumes that Regina is going to be kicked out because of Glacia’s actions. She, along with Satoshi and Go rush to the teacher’s office to clarify that Glacia was only protecting Regina.

The teacher reveals that she wasn’t going to kick Regina out, and it was a misunderstanding. Regina calls out her Glacia, but the Pokemon takes an offensive position, ready to attack. Regina stops her, but she suddenly falls to the ground, unconscious.

Later, we find out that Glacia’s temperature is critically low because she keeps creating blizzards and freezing everyone. Her over-exertion was the cause of her collapsing. Regina tells him that Glacia kept freezing everyone to protect her from bullies.

After Glacia’s recovery, Regina apologizes to her classmates and, as a present, asks Glacia to create a winter wonderland for them to play in. Everyone has a great time, and soon, Regina starts taking part in Pokemon battles.
