Naoki Urasawa is one of the greatest minds in the crime thriller manga genre. He created works like Monster, 20th Century Boys, and Asadora, which can put even the most brilliant minds into a trance.
After Monster, fans had been eagerly waiting for Urasawa’s other works to receive an anime, and with Pluto, the dreams finally came true. Almost every crime-thriller fan is losing their mind about Pluto finally getting an anime adaptation, and here are the details.
During its panel at Anime Expo, Netflix announced that the animated series of Naoki Urasawa’s Pluto manga will debut on October 26. The event also revealed the whole cast and staff. The anime will have eight episodes with a 60-min run time.
A new teaser trailer has also been released.
The teaser trailer briefly introduces the world that the anime is set in. It looks like a modern era where robots have become a common phenomenon. The teaser then shows the murder of a human and a robot at two different places.
The murderer has left horns at the crime scene, and nobody knows whether the perpetrator is a human or a robot. We also get a clue that the perpetrator might be somewhat of a cross between a human and a robot. How our characters solve this mystery will form the crux of the story.
The anime will be produced by Studio Genco, known for “High School D×D.” The trailer also revealed the rest of the staff. Here’s the list.
