Saki has been acting weird since episode one. She seems to be a passive character who’s not really in the moment. Why did she even want to die in the first place? Her story of becoming a God candidate needs to be told.

Episode 7 Recap

Mukaido takes a hit from the explosion and falls. Mirai catches him midair and carries him to safety, and it seems Mukaido is dead. But then he heard him cough, and all was well in the world.

Before they can make their getaway, Metropoliman sneaks up on them and tells them it’s time to die. Mirai questions him about how he can kill people so easily.

Metropoliman, not knowing what answer he’s looking for, goes into the technicalities of “I was given these arrows you see? I shot them by hand you see?”.

Of course, that’s not what Mirai meant, and then Metropoliman proceeds to mock the fact that he has a moral compass like a regular person.

Metropoliman bluffs that he has another building with bombs, and to save those people, one of them must sacrifice his life.

Mukaido doesn’t call his bluff and steps up for slaughter and asks Mirai to shoot Metropoliman with his red arrow.

Mirai can’t just let Mukaido die, so he shoots away from the white arrow with his red arrow, something not even Baret knew could happen.

Mirai fights him and blocks his white arrows with his red ones in a one-on-one fight. Mukaido takes this chance to shoot him with his guns, breaking his helmet. As he comes nearer with his red arrow, Metropoliman runs away.

Both of them come back to Saki’s place, and Mirai is devastated. He knows he’s incapable of killing or hurting anyone, not because he’s a nice person but because he’s a coward.

According to Saki, this is the perfect time to think about if Mirai is happy being with her. She needs a priority check. The only thing that they got out of this little excursion was getting to see Metropoliman’s face.
