Platinum End, the anticipated anime series from the creators of Death Note, has finally released their first English-subbed teaser! The shocking plot will make you question your faith in God, angels and their purpose.
Mirai’s story began when he was ready to end it all. He is saved by an angel only to participate in a competition for becoming the next God! However, it is not a noble competition as candidates start killing each other.
The Platinum End anime is set to air from October 2021 to March 2022 as studio Signal.MD animates it. It will debut with a total of 24 episodes that are meant to cover the whole manga.
A brand new trailer has also been released for the upcoming anime.
The trailer has a grim beginning as the protagonist, Mirai, tries to commit suicide. The angel, Nasse, saves him and bestows him with powers that he can use to exact revenge for his parents’ deaths.
Very soon, the teaser takes a dark turn as all the people who have received such powers start hunting each other. In this Godly game with no rules, only the victor will become the next almighty.
A 2nd key visual is also released for the Platinum End anime.
The visual not only shows Mirai and his angel but also the arch-enemy who he has to face. Kanade Uryu, the silver-haired antagonist, will stop at nothing to become God.
All the three powers of the angel, wings, red arrow and white arrow are also shown in the visual. Each quality has their own specialty that will be revealed in the anime.

Platinum End is a Japanese manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Jump Square monthly magazine from November 2015 to January 2021.
An anime television series adaptation by Signal.MD will premiere on TBS in October 2021.
The series follows Mirai Kakehashi, a student who attempts suicide but is rescued by his guardian angel, Nasse.
Nasse not only has vowed to protect him but bestows him with special powers as he is also one of 13 candidates chosen by different angels to take the role of God, who is to retire in 999 days.
