It is time for Zing’s second-anniversary concert in episode 5 of Phantom of the Idol.
However, the excitement to perform on the anniversary immediately faded thanks to the sophisticated venue. Myojo Hall, the designated venue, is so big that to ensure it is filled with a large audience, the manager decides to send Niyodo and Yoshino to Farmers’ Handsome.
We got introduced to the rivals and new characters in this episode. However, Niyodo’s disinterest in everything is quite annoying, and there seems to be no development in his character in these five episodes.
Here are the latest updates.
Episode 6 Speculations
ewill be up for some new tasks in episode 6 of Phantom of the Idol. Whatever happens, Niyodo is in need of some serious character development, or he alone will force the viewers to drop the show.
The entry of Hikaru has changed things for Asahi, and there is some connection between the two that will be explored in the later episodes. Their mysterious relationship seems more interesting than the rest of what’s happening, which is a bad sign for the show.
We will have some activities in the next episode, and it looks like Cgrass will accompany the protagonists in them. Hikaru has shown up at Niyodo’s house secretly, and he looks determined to get to know more about Asahi. It looks interesting, but I can wait for this episode.

Episode 5 Recap
Asahi is really happy to see Sweet Pharmacy’s birthday concert. She is shocked to see her name on one of the pink bars a fan held in his hand.
Back at the office, the manager announces that Zing would be having their birthday concert on the occasion of their second anniversary, and it will be held at the Myojo Hall.
Asahi gets worried because the hall is a big one and she is not sure if Niyodo and Yoshino will manage to fill it. To garner more audience, the manager decides to send Niyodo and Yoshino to Farmers’ Handsome.
This is the place where male idol groups gather and sell their merchandise and hold concerts. After several days, when Niyodo and Yoshino reach there, they are surprised to see girls buying their merchandise. All this was possible thanks to the efforts of three Zings fangirls.
There they meet the most popular idol group Cgrass and are greeted by their leader Hikaru Setouchi. Zings later performs in the concert, and Asahi takes control of Niyodo’s body.
We got some CGI song and dance (which was pretty weird to look at). However, Asahi gets carried away and messes up their performance. She is very upset with herself.
After the concert, she has completely fazed out and is not her usual self anymore. The main reason for this is that during the concert, when she messed up Zings’ performance, Hikaru came up to Niyodo and offered his hand and helped them complete their performance.
Seeing her reaction and behavior, Niyodo asks her whether there is some connection between Hikaru and her, but that question is left unanswered. We get to know that Niyodo went to meet Hikaru after the concert to apologize and thank him.
When he reaches there, Hikaru starts asking him about Asahi but fails to get an answer because of his fellow teammates showing up. Niyodo tells Asahi not to fret over it all and tries to regain her confidence.
By the end of the episode, she is back to her normal self.
