‘Peacemaker’ Season 2 Filming Window Gets a Positive Update by Star

One of the major DC Universe shows gets a major positive update as ‘Peacemaker’ season 2 gets ready to start production. 

Although James Gunn’s DC Universe will majorly focus on reboots, certain elements from the DCEU movie timeline will be incorporated into the new franchise. One of them is ‘Peacemaker,’ starring John Cena, as it was renewed before DC Studios officially got going.

According to Jennifer Holland, who plays Emilia Hartcourt in the DC franchise, the filming of ‘Peacemaker’ season 2 will officially begin this summer. The actress confided this information when asked by a fan on social media about the status of the show.

At the time of writing, neither Max nor DC Studios have said anything about the premiere date of ‘Peacemaker’ season 2. Therefore, predicting whether the show will air in late 2024 or early 2025 is difficult. Even James Gun has kept quiet about the filming updates of the show.

While we are yet to see how Peacemaker season 2 fits into the complex web of DC creatives, the bigger question is how involved James Gunn will be with the project. 

The new Superman film started production this February, and its filming will clash with ‘Peacemaker’ season 2. Therefore, it can’t be predicted whether Gunn will direct any episode of the series. 

New directors will likely be hired for filming the next season of ‘Peacemaker’ because of Gunn’s packed schedule.

However, it is probable that Gunn will come back and direct at least one episode in the latter half of the season, preferably the season finale. 

However, until Gunn gives us his take on this matter, it is difficult to speculate whether he will direct any episode in the upcoming sequel.
