Matt Reeves’ Batman movie seems to be progressing at a steady pace. The cast of the untitled Batman film is slowly taking shape, and there are numerous updates on the supporting cast of the film. In recent weeks, we’ve learned that Jeffrey Wright will be playing Commissioner Jim Gordon and that Jonah Hill is out of the picture.
Fans have been speculating about Catwoman and finally, we got Zoe Kravitz as the new Catwoman. The stand-alone Catwoman movie was one big disaster and hopefully, Matt Reeves’s Batman will help us forget the past!
Now there’s another big update about the casting of The Batman movie. Paul Dano had been cast as The Riddler in The Batman. Dano’s Version of the Character will be named Edward Nashton. The man who in comics later goes by the name Edward Nygma and adopts an evil persona.
Warner Bros. still has a large no. of crucial roles to fill, specifically The Penguin, with rumours suggesting that Seth Rogen has emerged as the new frontrunner. For now, Dano is our new Riddler. Batman fans have reacted positively to the news, citing the actor’s standout performances across There Will Be Blood, Swiss Army Man, and the Denis Villeneuve-directed crime drama, Prisoners.
We hope that with the outstanding performance of the latest Joker movie and Warner Bros. moving forward with some great ideas like The Batman movie, Birds of Prey and James’s Gunn Suicide Squad 2, DC movies will enter into a new exciting era.
