Now that Cyberpunk 2077 has been inevitably delayed to December 10, many other games have been affected by this, seeing as how more games have delayed their significant updates and releases.
Well, on the other hand, Ubisoft is probably breathing a sigh of relief, as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is in a better position than ever before now.
But other than that, Path of Exile has delayed their highly-awaited end-game expansions.
The expansion pack 3.13 was actually planned for a December 11 release, but now, it has been pushed to January 2021. As stated by Grinding Gear Games, this is simply to get out of Cyberpunk’s way.
“We do not want to put our players in a position of having to choose between these two games, so we have decided to step out of the way and delay the release of Path of Exile 3.13 until January. We still expect to finish 3.13 by early/mid-December. The scope of this expansion will remain unchanged. During the month of delay before release, we will start work on the 3.14 expansion.”

Honestly speaking, it’s kind of understandable, really. There must be tons of Path of Exile Players super eager to get their hands on Cyberpunk 2077, and if the release date of the expansion clashes with the game, it’ll simply result in losses on both sides, with many people missing out on one thing for the other.
Of course, as it stands, the announcement received many mixed reactions, with a lot of people happy about it and a lot of people unhappy and borderline angry.
Nevertheless, Path of Exile players won’t remain empty-handed in December, seeing how Chris also stated that they’re planning to run a multi-week event over Christmas!
Anyhow, it’ll be interesting to see how many games get affected by Cyberpunk 2077’s delay. But all I’m going to say is; Assassin’s Creed Valhalla should REALLY celebrate this.
