Everybody is there doing their part during the ongoing pandemic. Whether following social distancing rules or reuniting the entire cast of a loved sitcom!
On Thursday, April 30th, the Parks and Recreation cast will reunite for a scripted special episode. The episode will be raise money for coronavirus relief.
The entire cast will be returning, including Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman, Rashida Jones, Chris Pratt, Aubrey Plaza, Aziz Ansari, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Retta, and Jim O’Heir and the episode is supposed to be shot from the cast’s homes itself.
According to Deadline, the plot would be Leslie Knope trying to keep up with her friends even though they can’t be together in person.
“Like a lot of other people, we were looking for ways to help and felt that bringing these characters back for a night could raise some money, I sent a hopeful email to the cast, and they all got back to me within 45 minutes. Our old Parks and Rec team has put together one more 30-minute slice of (quarantined) Pawnee life, and we hope everyone enjoys it and donates.”
Parks and Rec co-creator Michael Schur said in a statement to Deadline
The donations received will go to Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund. NBCUniversal, State Farm, Subaru of America, and the Parks and Rec cast and crew will also be contributing to the fund.
Aficionados of the show are eager to see it return. However, there is, by all accounts, just one concern. It has to do with Leslie’s crush on a specific VP.
Biden had appearances on Parks and Rec in 2012 and 2015 as Knope’s political crush. The hypothetical Democratic chosen one for president has as of late been blamed for rape (which he denies) and other wrongdoings.
So, the individuals who are worried about Biden springing up perhaps shouldn’t worry.
It appears to be generally sensible to expect a cheerful get-together of the characters and updates on where they are in their lives.
