2022 might just get better for Park Min-young fans. According to multiple reports, Park Min-young and Yoo Yeon-seok are in talks to star in a tvN rom-com titled MonWedFriTuesThursSat (literal translation).
On February 17, Sports Chosun reported that the Her Private Life actress, Park Min-young received an offer for the lead role. Hours later, her agency, Hook Entertainment, confirmed the same. The agency added that she was positively reviewing the proposal.
Meanwhile, Hospital Playlist actor Yoo Yeon-seok’s agency King Kong by Starship also confirmed that the tvN drama is one of the many he is currently reviewing.
The tvN drama’s premise is as eccentric as its literal title. The story plays on the social taboo of the rising issue of people wanting to stay unmarried.
The drama focuses on unmarried men who can gain respect at certain social events only if they show they’re married and arrive with a wife. Here’s where lead Choi Sang-eun comes in. She offers services to unmarried men and plays the role of their wives at social gatherings such as meetings, school reunions, etc.
The show’s title is derived from the days of the week Sang-eun works – Monday to Saturday, keeping Sunday all for herself. She is also described as a multi-talented individual who is fluent in multiple languages, and is skilled in rock climbing, fencing, golf, and cooking.
No detail about Yoo Yeon-seok’s potential role has been revealed yet, but there are chances of him playing the love interest or one of the unmarried men who fall in love with her.
If yes, MonWedFriTuesThursSat will offer viewers a refreshing lead pairing. Both actors have solidified their positions in the K-drama industry with various famous projects.
Moreover, the tvN drama will be helmed by Nam Sung-woo, the director of famous shows such as 100 Days My Prince and My Roommate is a Gumiho.
Park Min-young is currently seen alongside Song Kang in JTBC’s romantic show, Forecasting Love and Weather.
