- Bandai Namco has revealed Alisa Bosconovitch and Panda’s gameplay from Tekken 8.

- Alisa is an android with an array of weapons and a bizarre Rage Art move that has amused many fans.
Tekken 8 has many returning characters from the previous editions of the game. With an ever-expanding roster, the developers of Bandai Namco are doing proper justice to the characters by giving them the launch they deserve.
Two new characters for Tekken 8 – Panda and Alisa Bosconovitch have been revealed along with their fresh new moves for the upcoming title. The developers have given these classic characters a breath of fresh air.
Veterans of the Tekken franchise know that Panda is essentially a changed-colorway Kuma. With a very heavy similarity between the two characters, Panda was introduced in Tekken 3 and has been playable ever since.
Alisa Bosconovitch is an android made after Dr Bosconovitch’s late daughter, debuting in Tekken 6. An interesting fact that often escapes even seasoned players is that both these characters have a link to a regular Tekken character, Ling Xiaoyu.
Panda becomes Ling’s bodyguard, and Alisa becomes her friend. However, Alisa’s friendship with Ling Xiaoyu is not canon and appears in spinoffs like Project X Zone and Tekken: Blood Vengeance.
The reveal trailer for both characters before the release showcases their move sets. Panda’s moves heavily emphasized distance strikes, mainly due to the long limbs.
Panda and Xiaoyu’s cute pre-match animation was also revealed, wherein they skipped around and bet whoever wins the fight would decide what snacks they would have. It’s quite a wholesome touch that players love.
Alisa Bosconovitch, on the other hand, is an android with a very mechanical fighting style, with many tricks and weapons up her sleeves. This includes even unlikely weapons like chainsaws, jetpack wings, and even a duplicate of her head, which is quite gory and bizarre at the same time.
In the trailer, she takes on a Jack-8 model – a fight that showcases her vast array of skills and weaponry. Fans might have found the Rage Art finishing move quite comedic. However, the fact remains that this move is mighty even though Alisa, in a very gore move, kicks her head like a football into the opponent, which subsequently explodes.
With the complete roster being revealed, fans have to wait for a fortnight until January 26th for the release of Tekken 8 and brawl away with all these revamped characters at their disposal.
