The new year, 2022, will mark the Ozark family’s end. On October 19, Netflix dropped an announcement date teaser, offering another glimpse into what Ozark’s fourth and final season holds.
As Ozark’s last season is split in two, part one now has a confirmed release date – January 21, 2022.
Each part is also confirmed to be seven episodes, which is a new number for the popular crime drama.
Ozark fans did get a taste of the bloody state of affairs that await them at Omar Navarro’s palace, the Mexican drug cartel leader, in the previous teaser.
The date announcement teaser teases a serious conversation in the background of serene, almost empty aerial views of the places we know.
The dialogue gives a hint that the Byrde family knows they’re growing closer to their end.
Why do I have this feeling we both know that you’d be better off dead?
But they also know that they can’t stop after everything they’ve been through. The money-laundering, crime mess the Byrde family got entangled in, there’s only one way to move – and that’s forward.
Sometimes, if you don’t move forward, you die.
The teaser serves as the calm before the storm that is about to wreak havoc in the Byrde family’s life. Fans have already waited for more than a year for season 4, and of course, it’s riding high on expectations.

Netflix hasn’t revealed anything for part two yet, but it is likely only a few months apart from part one.
The third season of the Emmy Award-winning series left fans shocked as it ended with a literal bang – Helen being shot in the head. Now, Marty and Wendy are inside a ruthless drug leader’s house, and we have no clue how they’ll get out of this mess.
Starting in 2017, the family crime drama quickly became a favorite on Netflix and even picked up several Emmy awards.
Ozark season 4 part one will be released on Netflix on January 21, 2022.
