Overwatch 2 X Transformers New Hero Skins
The Overwatch 2 x Transformers crossover event will bring together the worlds of Blizzard’s hero shooter and Hasbro’s iconic robots in disguise, introducing four new skins that blend the two franchises with remarkable attention to detail.
With this collab, fans will get to see –
Reinhardt become Optimus Prime,
Ramattra transform into Megatron,
Illari channel Arcee,
and Bastion buzz into Bumblebee!
While Optimus Prime Reinhardt and Bumblebee Bastion are likely to generate significant excitement, the collaboration appears to be limited to these four skins, as suggested by the teaser animation and accompanying lore comic.
Blizzard has clarified that the Overwatch 2 collaboration with Transformers is a cosmetic crossover, where the Overwatch heroes will be cosplaying as Arcee, Bumblebee, Megatron, and Optimus Prime, but their abilities and gameplay will remain unchanged.
Overwatch 2 X Transformers Event Details
Blizzard’s Overwatch 2 has consistently delivered crossover events with notable franchises, introducing a handful of skins each time, which have all contributed to the game’s diverse and ever-growing collection of skins. The latest collaboration with Transformers follows this pattern, adding four new skins to the game.
In this event, players can purchase individual skins or opt for the Mega Bundle, which includes all of them. Additionally, free rewards like Transformers-themed player icons, name cards, and titles will be available during the event. The event runs until July 22, so be sure to check it out before it ends!
Besides the Transformers event, the Summer Games event also kicks off on July 9, featuring limited-time game modes and summer-themed skins.
New content includes the introduction of Hacked Pickable Passive in Quickplay on July 15 and the debut of the first-ever Mythic Weapon, the Mythic Bound Demon Reinhardt Weapon Skin, on July 23.
