Episode 9 Speculation and Discussion
Ousama Ranking revealed a lot in this episode and connected with its previous plots. It looks like queen Hilling is on a rollercoaster of unexpected reveals. (It’s hilarious when you think about it). Also, did you notice how Bojji got to be adorable? Yes, it’s from his mother.
Miranjo wants Bosse to uphold his promise of killing Hilling. Why does Miranjo want Hilling dead? Is it jealousy? Does Bosse have a hidden motive apart from Miranjo’s plans?
Bojji is now the strongest person, according to Miranjo, and we see his training with Despa is complete. I can’t wait to find out what skills Bojji has learned. I hope Hilling will be safe, given how the plot is going.
With the series taking a turn in its events, the journey of the young prince Bojji to become the strongest king in his own way gets exciting as the following episodes are released.

Episode 8 Recap
This episode starts with Bosse making a deal with the demon. The demon states it can take power from his bloodlines and make Bosse stronger. Bosse agrees and is seen later meeting a strong giant woman. He states he would like to marry her and have a child.
Before answering, she tests his strength and finds it compelling. Later, Bosse gains powers against goblins and realizes the child has been born. Meeting his wife, Bosse finds his son tinier than the usual baby giants.
Recalling the demon’s deal, Bosse sets out and builds a kingdom for his son to have the best in life. Getting back to the present, Bosse, in Daida’s body, finds out the current strongest person. He laughs at who Lady Miranjo reveals and finds it appealing.
Miranjo then mentions the other deal of killing queen Hilling. Daida finds Hilling will be killed by monsters Miranjo has prepared. Daida tests the monsters out and approves the assassination. Afterward, Hokuro tells Hilling about Bojji’s death which shocks her.
A scene is shown where Hokuro is told who ordered Domas to kill Bojji. Domas plans to flee to stay alive, but Hokuro thinks otherwise. Hokuro, even though knowing reporting the incident to queen Hilling will cost his life, feels Bojji’s life wouldn’t have meaning.
After hearing this, Hilling is furious and orders Hokuro to be put to death. As the guard gets ready to execute Hokuro, Domas, wearing a mask, rushes in and saves him. Daida watching the commotion, intercepts Domas while escaping.
Domas finds Daida’s presence to be different from before and realizes something. As Daida gets countered by Domas, he finds it to be Domas and spills his identity. Hilling yells in anger to kill Domas for Bojji’s death seeing him.
Daida then reveals there is no need for such acts for Bojji is alive. He explains that the mirror showed Bojji as the current strongest person. With things cleared up, Daida banishes Hokuro and Daida from the kingdom.
Daida whispers something to Domas, which startles him, and he leaves with Hokuro. Domas then lets Hokuro know he will teach him swordsmanship for a mission to be done. He also reveals that Daida is king Bosse.
Unknown to the reasons for the mission, Domas says they’ll destroy the monsters in the underworld under the castle. Even though Hokuro can’t forgive Domas’s action, he wants to train under him to be stronger.
Domas is happy that Bojji is alive but will be ashamed to face him. Meanwhile, how Bebin became an elite member of king Bosse is shown. Bebin later wakes up all patched up in Mitsumata’s chamber.
At Despa’s place, Kage wonders how Bojji split a boulder but is skeptical of what he saw. He gets startled by Despa and Bojji as they appear. Despa reveals Bojji has completed his training and mastered Despa’s arts.
Daida whispers to Drusi something at the castle, and Miranjo wonders what Bosse could be whispering about as she watches. Daida then reveals to Hilling that he is not her son but Bosse himself.
In the end, the real Daida is seen in a dark place. He recalls what happened after Apis showed up and knocked him out. Finding the dark place strange, Daida walks and tries to figure out where he is.
About Ousama Ranking
Ōsama Ranking (Ranking of Kings) is a Japanese comedy manga series by Sōsuke Tōka. It has been serialized online via Echoes’ user-submitted Manga Hack website since May 2017. An anime television series adaptation by Wit Studio premiered in October 2021.
The story centers around Bojji, a deaf, powerless prince who cannot even wield a children’s sword. As the firstborn son, he strives hard and dreams of becoming the world’s greatest king.
However, people mutter about him behind his back as “a good-for-nothing prince” and “no way he can be king.” Bojji is able to make his first-ever friend, Kage, a literal shadow on the ground who somehow understands Bojji well.
The story follows Bojji’s coming-of-age as he meets various people in his life, starting with his fateful encounter with Kage.
