Episode 20 Speculation and Discussion
With the Bosse Kingdom in chaos, new events unfold in Ousama Ranking. I’ve been waiting for the moment, and finally getting to see it was amazing. Yes, I’m talking about the Big Four in action.
I’m so happy Kage isn’t going to die yet, and Miranjo is actually kind even though she plays the antagonist. Since Miranjo feels a bit at ease, will she continue her dark plans? I think, her motives might be connected with God’s plans to rule humans.
The Big Four will showcase their title as the king’s warriors facing Ouken. Given that Ouken gained extra strength, will the Big Four manage to restrain the immortal cursed being?

Episode 19 Recap
This episode continues with Kage consuming Ouken to save Bojji. Unfortunately, Ouken cuts his way out of Kage, killing him. Ouken then stabs Bojji and watches the injured face death.
The story of Miranjo continues with a god stating that it’s time the gods find a new way to rule over humans after witnessing their resistance. Later Bosse found Miranjo tied to a pole and saw what cruelty the Gyakuza people did to her.
Enraged by the act, Bosse kills everyone in the Gyakuza town. He later takes Miranjo to a wizard man to save the poor girl. As Bosse tried to help Miranjo overcome her trauma, he recalled that his actions changed her into who she is now.
Bebin heads off to check on Bojji after getting intel. He tells King Bosse that he’ll take out Miranjo at any cost if it comes to it. Miranjo uses Red to get to Kage with her possessing powers. As Despa tries to help Bojji, he questions Red’s intentions.
Red heals Kage, which surprises Despa, and sees Miranjo’s presence when he touches Red’s hand. Visions of Miranjo’s core memories brush through Despa before he finds himself with Bojji in a strange place. Bojji and Despa find Kage trying to cross a stream to his late mother.
Despa realizes they’re at the border of life and death, which Kage tries to cross. As Kage crosses slowly, Miranjo stops him and questions his attachments in life. Kage realizes Bojji needs his help and thanks Miranjo even though she is behind everything.
The words cause the child Miranjo who is with Daida in the void, to break free from suffering. Daida doesn’t want Miranjo to leave, but she says he will soon be saved. Mitsumata finds Despa and Bojji but Ouken attacks it.
As Ouken tries to finish Mitsumata off, Bebin intercepts his attacks. Domas, Dorshe, and Apis appear to lend a hand to take Ouken out. Finding the opponent is immortal, the Big Four prepare to restrain Ouken. They strategically attack Ouken and let Dorshe pin him down.
Ouken, recalling Despa’s words, use the unseen strength to get energized and overthrows Dorshe. With the four fighters caught off guard, Apis reminds them they are the Big Four and the last bastion. Domas, Bebin, Dorshe, and Apis prepare to face Ouken who is energized.
About Ousama Ranking
Ōsama Ranking (Ranking of Kings) is a Japanese comedy manga series by Sōsuke Tōka. It has been serialized online via Echoes’ user-submitted Manga Hack website since May 2017. An anime television series adaptation by Wit Studio premiered in October 2021.
The story centers around Bojji, a deaf, powerless prince who cannot even wield a children’s sword. As the firstborn son, he strives hard and dreams of becoming the world’s greatest king.
However, people mutter about him behind his back as “a good-for-nothing prince” and “no way he can be king.” Bojji is able to make his first-ever friend, Kage, a literal shadow on the ground who somehow understands Bojji well.
The story follows Bojji’s coming-of-age as he meets various people in his life, starting with his fateful encounter with Kage.
