Episode 17 Speculation and Discussion
With the Bosse Kingdom in chaos, new events unfold in Ousama Ranking. This episode gave new pieces to the puzzle in the plot with the scene of Bojji’s mother and Miranjo. It was sad to see it, but I’m intrigued by the reveal.
We’re getting closer to understanding why Miranjo wants to destroy the kingdom. What will Despa and the Captain do to restrain Ouken since he broke loose? With Ouken shown as a kind man in this episode, I wonder what made him desire immortality that later turned him evil.
It looks like the demon we saw when Bosse passed away had some connection with Miranjo and is a target for Desha and Despa. Is the demon helping Miranjo or pulling the strings to bring chaos to the ranking system?
The show is engaging with the new events of Bojji’s adventures to become king. Let’s see what the following episodes bring us as we wait for its weekly release.

Episode 16 Recap
This episode starts with Bojji recalling a time with his mother when King Desha mentioned Miranjo. The memory shows how Miranjo brutally killed Bojji’s mother. It also shows how Miranjo lost her life, and a mysterious figure showed up when it happened.
King Desha states if they’re not getting in the way of putting Miranjo down, King Bosse will stand in his way. He then orders his men to take Gigan back to the underworld. Bojji and Kage try to prevent them from taking Gigan but are told the monster is a criminal.
They then find out how Gigan became a criminal due to his betrayal of King Desha. Gigan’s betrayal happened only due to his grief at how the men under Desha were torturing young Gigantes to lure out the older monsters.
Desha had to keep up his men’s morale for the war and made regrets of his own. When Despa saw what his action brought, he despised Desha for such acts. The captain, who seems to be Ouken, reassures he can build an army that will meet Desha’s expectations.
Getting back in the castle, Gigan tries to fight Desha but almost gets zapped by his lightning attack. Bojji dispels the lightning with his sword, which surprises Desha and Domas. He makes Kage explain that he doesn’t want Desha to take Gigan away.
King Desha then contacts Prince Despa to find out what he did for Bojji to be strong. Despa replies Desha is no match for Bojji and can’t defeat King Bosse as well. Desha asks his take on the situation, and Despa states they make Bojji face Bosse.
If the plans go accordingly, they will defeat Miranjo and also kill the demon involved. Despa tells Desha to leave things to him and the Captain for the time being while Desha pulls back. King Desha orders his army to return home and says he will take Gigan with him.
He then reveals that Gigan will be part of the Order of the Underworld. Desha knows his action before can’t be forgiven, but he will take Gigan with him. Gigan makes up his mind and joins King Desha but states his heart is for Bojji and thanks him for his kindness.
King Desha and his army return to the underworld with things settled. Afterward, Domas confronts Bojji to gain his forgiveness, but Bojji is too hurt and haunted by the incidents to face him.
Meanwhile, as Despa and the Captain figure out what to do next, Ouken recovers and breaks free. Despa is petrified that Ouken has recovered already and gets concerned about what will happen next. Ouken gives a ferocious look in the end.
