2. Episode 9 Speculation
Episode 8 concludes with the cultural festival planning committee looking for volunteers. Maria raised her hand to join this event, and seeing her, Runa did the same. This will be her first step at restoring the relation to normal. The next episode will mostly be about the preparation for the cultural festival and the event itself.
According to the preview, we will see a scavenger hunt where our hero and heroine make one of their many cute memories. But how Runa will approach Maria between all this and how seeing Runa and Ryuuto together will affect her is still unknown.
3. Recap of Episode 8
After noticing Maria in her class, Runa tries to approach her, but she quickly avoids Runa and walks out of the room. Ryuuto enters the classroom simultaneously and witnesses this failed attempt at “Mission Befreind Maria”.
Later, during lunch break, Ryuuto asked his friends if they were free the next Saturday. He wanted to try something new with Runa and would surely need their help. The idea was to go and enjoy survival games with Runa, and since it can’t be done with two people they need their friends too.
They all meet at the designated place on Saturday, and the fun begins. Everyone enters the playing area after getting changed into proper dresses. They get divided into two teams. One team is with Ryuuto, Runa, and Akari, and the other is with Nicole, Nishi, and Ijichi.
In the first round, Ryuuto’s team managed to win with their collective effort. Before the beginning of the second round, Nicole cuts off her nails as she decides to take this seriously. And guess what? She dominates the second round alone.
After finishing their game there, all of them went to a cafe. While they were gossiping, Ijichi reverted to his otaku mode. Surprisingly, Nicole and Akari are one kind of Otaku, too. All of them have a great time there chatting over different topics.
Everyone except Runa and Ryuuto goes home afterwards, so Runa decides that they should go on a date since they are still out. They go to an amusement park where they ride a Ferris wheel.
Just when Ryuuto was thinking about kissing Runa, the same thought came to her. They shared a kiss on the Ferris wheel as the sun was going down. When they were on their way out of the park, they had a heartfelt conversation with each other.
A few days later, Ryuuto is shocked to see Maria at his cram school. He tries to make a quick escape but almost gets caught. A senpai saves him by dragging Ryuuto outside with him. This new character is later introduced as Sekiya Shuugo. Ryuuto exchanges his contact info with him in case he ever needs help again.
