Good news for all the fans of the popular manga and anime series Oshi No Ko: the anime is returning with its highly anticipated season 2. The release date was announced during this year’s Anime Japan’s Red Stage event.
Updates on the Highly Anticipated Season 2 Of Oshi No Ko
Season 2 of Oshi No Ko was confirmed to premiere in July, 2024. The announcement was officially made during the Red Stage event at Anime Japan 2024, held at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan.
The official Twitter of Oshi No Ko anime has revealed the release date as well as the trailer for the anime sequel. Oshi No Ko season 2 is set to release on July 3, 2024 and will premiere worldwide.
New Voice Cast of Season 2 Released
The main reason, apart from the return of the beloved characters, is the new voice cast that will be a part of season 2. Uchiyama Koki, best known for his roles as (Shigaraki from My Hero Academia) and (Tsukishima from Haikyuu!!!) will voice Himekawa Taiki. Kobayashi Yuusuke (Senku from Dr. Stone) will voice Kamoshidi Sakuya.
New Trailer of Season 2 Released
After the much-celebrated new season-adaptation announcement and cast drop of the top-selling manga by Aka Akasaka, the teaser trailer for the upcoming season was also released by Oshi No Ko anime’s YouTube account. Watch the trailer here:
The opening theme song of Oshi No Ko is called “Fatal” by GEMN and is also featured in the trailer for the sequel.

What To Expect From Oshi No Ko Season 2
As shown in the teaser video, all the Oshi No Ko characters are practicing for their stage play. The second season will feature the Shibuya Conflict Arc that centers around the Tokyo Blade play. New characters will be introduced who will have major impact on the storyline.
Tokyo Blade features Kana as a supporting character, while Akane and Aqua play antagonists. The teaser has them all rehearsing their lines and rehearsing to their fullest. We can anticipate tensions to run high on the set in the new season as the characters’ dynamics come into play.
About Oshi no Ko
Oshi no Ko is a supernatural crime-solving manga series written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since April 2020 and received an anime adaptation in 2023.
The story follows a doctor, Goro, reincarnated as his favorite idol Ai’s kid. Ai names him Aquamarine and his twin sister, a reincarnation of a patient at the hospital, Ruby. Ai is later killed by a stalker who was also responsible for Goro’s death. As Aquamarine swears revenge on the stalker for his mother’s demise, Ruby follows the same path as her mother to become an idol.
