Since its television premiere, Oshi no Ko has taken the anime industry by storm, attracting people worldwide. The series has become a must-watch anime for 2023, with the debut generating waves and fans clamoring for more. Now, all eyes are on Oshi no Ko.

Approximately 4.5 million copies were in circulation in March before the television anime version of the manga began. The manga doubled its circulation in less than two months after the anime’s premiere.
Before the anime adaptation, Oshi no Ko was very popular, as in 2021, the manga achieved a significant milestone by winning first place in the seventh Next Manga Awards. It had previously won the prestigious title of Best General Manga at the 46th annual Kodansha Manga Awards, and not just that; the manga has many other achievements under its belt.

About Oshi no Ko
Oshi no Ko is a supernatural crime-solving manga series written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since April 2020 and received an anime adaptation in 2023.
The story follows a doctor, Goro, reincarnated as his favorite idol Ai’s kid. Ai names him Aquamarine and his twin sister, a reincarnation of a patient at the hospital, Ruby. Ai is later killed by a stalker who was also responsible for Goro’s death. As Aquamarine swears revenge on the stalker for his mother’s demise, Ruby follows the same path as her mother to become an idol.
