Ruby auditions for Ai’s role, and even though Gotanda and Kaburagi agree her acting is satisfactory, Kaburagi remains fixated on hiring Frill due to her box-office success. Aqua overhears their conversation and settles on the importance of the film’s success.
Frill receives a text informing her that she will be picked for the role of Ai. The next day at school, she walks with Ruby and tells her she might be selected for the role, but the production team is having difficulty deciding on an actress. When Ruby suggests an audition, Frill states that as impossible because one is not held for Japan’s top talents, and instead, they decide whether they want to play it.
Even so, Frill wishes to be chosen based on her abilities instead of recognition and suggests an audition be held amongst themselves, wherein the loser declines the offer. Frill reveals that the other candidate, Akane, has agreed to it too.
6. About Oshi no Ko
Oshi no Ko is a supernatural crime-solving manga series written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since April 2020 and received an anime adaptation in 2023.
The story follows a doctor, Goro, reincarnated as his favorite idol Ai’s kid. Ai names him Aquamarine and his twin sister, a reincarnation of a patient at the hospital, Ruby. Ai is later killed by a stalker who was also responsible for Goro’s death. As Aquamarine swears revenge on the stalker for his mother’s demise, Ruby follows the same path as her mother to become an idol.
