The premise is based on this newly developed concept called ‘Perception Art,’ a form of digital art that affects a person’s senses of touch, smell, sight, and hearing. As revealed in the official synopsis, Perception Art has become integrated into everyday life in the last ten years, and it takes a team of an artist and a grader to create it.
Kazuya Yamanashi is the son of famous artists and creators of Perception Art. He has enrolled in the prestigious arts institution Eisen High School with his childhood friend Jun Tsuzuki, with dreams of becoming an artist.
However, Kazuya is at Eisen with another motive: to mend a broken friendship with Kyo Takise. Son of a grader, Kyo was a childhood buddy of Kazuya and Jun but started avoiding them due to a certain incident.

Opus Colors is an original anime created by Rin Hinata. It features the concept of Perception Art, a type of digital art that affects a person’s senses of sight, smell, touch, and hearing. The art requires a team of two, an artist and a grader, to create and has developed a lot in ten years.
The story will follow Kazuya Yamanashi, son of famous artists who also founded Perception Art; and Kyo Takise, whose father is a grader and also a founder of Perception Art.
Kyo is Kazuya’s childhood friend but avoids him due to a certain incident while the latter enrolls in Eisen High School, a prestigious art institution to mend the broken bond while aspiring to become a Perception Artist himself.
