My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU or Oregairu for short is a high school life anime but without the positive vibes. The hero is a realist who sees right through everyday relationships, and that is what sets it apart from other anime.
Season 1 & 2 of Oregairu aired in 2013 and 2015, respectively. Crunchyroll simulcast the first season. The streaming giant had already announced its summer lineup anime for 2020, but it brings us yet another surprise.
Crunchyroll announced on 8th July that it would stream the 3rd season of My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected.
Oregairu will be the latest addition to the Summer Anime Lineup 2020 of Crunchyroll.
Crunchyroll started streaming a new trailer with English subtitles for the anime.
The trailer gives us glimpses into the world of Hachiman, who is as pessimistic as always, and he is berated by the other members of the school’s “Service Club.”
The anime will be available on Crunchyroll “soon”. The territories where the anime can be streamed are the United States of America, Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, and the countries comprising Latin America.
The third season of Oregairu will air on 9th July. It will be streamed by HiDive and is licensed by Sentai Filmworks for release outside Asia.
The final season was set for an April release but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
It has been five years since the last season of My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU was aired. The second season ended with a cliffhanger, which also makes the final season a much-anticipated one by fans.
If the Service Club wants to keep functioning, then the members have to face their feelings. What are your thoughts on this?
About Oregairu
Written by Wataru Watari and illustrated by Ponkan8, this story was adapted into a manga thrice. It was picked up for an animated adaptation by Brain’s Base.
It was still, however, animated by Feel Studio in its second season.
This anime is from the slice of life genre and features the story of a pragmatic, high schooler Hachiman Hikigaya. He is forced to be a part of a Service Club by his teacher alongside Yukino Yukinoshita and Yui Yuigahama.
Despite having wildly different personalities and beliefs, they offer help to those in need.
