‘My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU’ or more popularly known as OreGairu is adored anime fans. Known for its nuanced storytelling and the way it handles teenage romance and the bitter realities, the show will literally sweep you off your feet.
Season three of OreGairu was supposed to premiere in April 2020. However, it was delayed due to the pandemic and instead premiered on July 9.
The official website for My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax is listing the anime with six Blu-ray Disc and DVD volumes with a total of 12 episodes. The volumes will ship in Japan starting from September 25.
The volumes will be released on September 25, October 28, November 27, December 30, January 29, and February 26. For now, the home video shipments will be available only in Japan.
The first episode of OreGairu’s season three, titled “Eventually, the seasons change and the snow melts,” aired on July 9.
It shows us that at the end of their visit to Kasai Rinkai Park, Hachiman ponders how he, Yukino, and Yui will find a good solution to the challenges they face with their relationship.
After buying them drinks and chatting about Yui’s chocolates, Hachiman prompts Yukino to tell him and Yui her request.
Yukino explains that she wants to choose her path in life instead of following in the footsteps of her parents and sister; she requests that Hachiman and Yukino support her in her endeavours to become a more capable, independent person.
After Hachiman and Yui accept her request, the three travel to Yukino’s apartment, where they are greeted by Yukino’s older sister Haruno, who is intoxicated.
Flashing forward to the next day, Hachiman checks in on the frenzied preparations of his younger sister Komachi. She is preparing for the interview-based second stage of her entrance exam for Hachiman’s high school.
He agrees to meet her at the Marinpia shopping center after her exam; while waiting for her, and he runs into his classmate Saki Kawasaki and her younger sister Keika.
After Saki and Keika leave, Hachiman and Komachi go on a shopping trip before returning home. Komachi insists on organizing the house and doing chores to make up for her inability to do so while studying for her exams.
Afterwards, she gives her older brother a heartfelt thanks for his support, which brings rare tears to Hachiman’s eyes.
About The Franchise
Written by Wataru Watari and Illustrated by Ponkan8, this story was adapted into a manga thrice. It was picked up for an animated adaptation by Brain’s Base. Still, it was animated by Feel Studio in its second season.
This anime is of the slice of life genre featuring the story of the pragmatic highschooler Hachiman Hikigaya.
He is forced to be a part of a Service Club by his teacher alongside Yukino Yukinoshita and Yui Yuigahama. Despite having wildly different personalities and beliefs, they offer help to those in need.
