High-school romance goes astronomical under the whirling heavens as the anime adaptation of Insomniacs After School makes its way to television. The staff has already shared the main cast and staff, and now they have shared a few more details you would like to know.
On Sunday, the official website for Insomniacs After School revealed a third trailer with a new key visual. The video and the website reveal more staff members, along with the opening theme and the release date.
The anime will debut on April 10 on Tokyo TV, Hokkaido TV, and BS TV Tokyo.
Ganta (VA: Gen Sato) and Isaki (VA: Konomi Tamura), the main characters, are the main focus of this trailer. They can be seen spending time under the night sky exploring different parts of the city and observing the stars. Yui is also shown for a while and interacts with them.
The opening song, as revealed at the end of the video, is “Itsu Aetara” (When Can We Meet) by aiko. The ending song “Lapse” by Homecomings was first revealed in February by the staff.
The visual above shows Ganta and Isaki sitting at the observatory with their backs facing each other. A large telescope stands behind them. The roof is not present, so the night sky of Nanao City spreads out.
Among the newly revealed staff members, Graphinica will oversee photography, and Mai Hasegawa will be the editor. Yuki Hayashi will produce the music for the series.
The main members of the production team are listed below:
Position | Staff | Other Works |
Studio | LIDEN FILMS | Tokyo Revengers |
Director | Yūki Ikeda | — |
Series Composer | Rintarou Ikeda | Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It |
Character Designer | Yuki Fukuda | Hunter x Hunter (Key Animation) |
Insomniacs After School looks like an entirely new take on the high-school slice-of-life genre, with the main characters suffering from insomnia. In addition to that, the emphasis on stargazing makes me curious to have a look at it.
