Last week’s episode left us at a Cliffhanger in which Mabel stabs Glitter Guy on the subway. She wakes up to discover that Theo had rescued her after she went into a state of shock during the altercation.
Mabel initially doesn’t trust him, but the two of them soon become unlikely allies as they go to Coney Island to follow up on a lead. Oliver and Charles get confronted by Detective Williams about what they’re hiding.

Mabel and Theo manage to lose Glitter Guy while he’s chasing them. They drive back to the city and Mabel realizes that the matchbook is missing from her bag. This was the most vital piece of evidence the trio had so far.
She reunites with Charles and Oliver in the diner and shows them a photo of Lucy and Charles that had been in Glitter Guy’s possession. Charles calls Lucy in a panic to warn her, but it gets cut off as there’s a city-wide blackout. Will the trio be able to get to Lucy in time? Will Mabel be able to uncover Glitter Guy’s identity?

Mabel wakes up in an unfamiliar apartment and soon discovers that it’s Theo’s. It turns out that he had been on the subway during the altercation and had brought Mabel back after she blacked out. He shows her the video of the incident and Mabel tells him that she doesn’t remember anything. Elsewhere, Oliver and Charles panic as they can’t trace Mabel’s whereabouts.
While they’re trying to track down Mabel, Detective Williams pays them a visit to talk about the case. Theo confirms that it was Glitter Guy that stole Mabel’s bag that had the matchbook. He then shows her the ID card the glitter-covered person dropped and the two of them decide to go to Coney Island to get more intel.
Detective Williams immediately notices Charles and Oliver acting shifty and asks them about the knife. Eventually, they give in and Oliver hands her the knife to run it for prints. Meanwhile, Theo and Mabel steal the files containing employee information. While Theo is charging his ankle monitor, Mabel runs into Glitter Guy and retrieves her bag.
