One Piece’s New TV Program Reveals August 7 debut and Poster

One Piece is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. The series follows Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who, inspired by his childhood idol and mighty pirate “Red-Haired” Shanks, sets off on a journey from the East Blue Sea to find the titular treasure and proclaim himself the King of the Pirates.

Weekly Shonen Jump announced an August 7 premiere for a separate One Piece TV program called “I will be the Pirate King TV.”

A poster for the same accompanied the announcement of the new TV program’s debut.

The One Piece anime aired its 935th episode titled Zoro, Stunned! The Shocking Identity of the Mysterious Woman!, on August 2.

It featured Luffy trying to elevate his ability to use the Colour of Arms, as fierce enemies keep assailing him.

There has been a lot going on with the franchise, in the manga and the real world. The Tokyo One Piece Tower had closed permanently due to the effects of the COVID pandemic.

This upcoming new TV program ought to be a treat for the One Piece fanbase giving them more of their favorite characters. 

 About One Piece

One Piece is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since July 22, 1997, and has been collected into 96 tankōbon volumes as of April 2020.

The story follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body gained the properties of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit.

With his crew of pirates, named the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the world’s ultimate treasure known as “One Piece” to become the next King of the Pirates. The anime series is produced by Toei Animation, which began broadcasting in Japan in 1999.
