One Piece, the franchise started by Eiichiro Oda in 1997, has released fourteen feature films so far. Their latest movie, One Piece: Stampede, has been rocking the box office in Japan, featuring one of the biggest battle royales that the Mugiwara no Ichimi have ever encountered. The rest of the world has anxiously been waiting for the English release of the film since its premiere in Japan. With the confirmed news of the film’s release date is October 2019 we now also have an English subtitled trailer exclusively released by IGN.
A vast majority of characters can be seen in the teaser-trailer, from Wapol to Trafalgar Law and Boa Hancock along with the new, yet unnamed antagonists.
Spoilers of the film have already been leaked with information on the new antagonists, the general plot, the fight scenes and cameos of major character from the manga. From what the spoilers say, this movie is set to be one of the grandest One Piece feature films, topping even Gold and Film Z. Even though Eiichiro Oda has been closely involved in the making of this movie, it’s significance to the canon plot is negligible.
One Piece is in the Yonko War saga right now, covering phase one of Wano-kuni in the Anime and phase two of the same in the manga. Due to the relations of real world Japan, Goda’s birthland and Wano-kuni, this arc has been proclaimed by the fanbase as one of the best written arcs with the aesthetic of an actual samurai country (hidden with easter eggs in almost every chapter).
One Piece
The man who had acquired everything in this world, the Pirate King, is Gol D. Roger. The final words he said at the execution tower were “My treasures? If you want it, I’ll let you have it. Look for it; I left all of it at that place.” These words sent many to the seas, chasing their dreams, headed toward the Grand Line, in search of One Piece. Thus began a new age! Seeking to be the greatest pirate in the world, young Monkey D. Luffy also heads toward the Grand Line in search of One Piece. With his diverse crew joining him along the way, consisting of a swordsman, marksman, navigator, cook, doctor, archaeologist, and cyborg-shipwright, this will be one memorable adventure.
