2. One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga Episode 2 Recap
The episode began with Chopper running around town crying about how everyone had changed too much in just two years, and he was really concerned about the fake Robin who went missing as well. This was when he met up with the real Nami and Usopp, who explained the situation to him.
Meanwhile, Sanji met up with Zoro, and they started bickering, as usual. Parallely, we got to see a marine who was spying on the fake Straw Hats. He found them scouting several wanted men with bounties of several million berries. He informed this to HQ out of concern but got caught by Wet-Haired Caribou in the process.
While this was going on, Luffy was with the fake Zoro and Sanji, and funnily enough, he didn’t even realize that they were impostors. We’ll he did find it suspicious that they were more chummy than usual. When the two realized that Luffy might actually be a member of the straw hats, they decided to take him to their boss.
After this, we got to see Franky’s new robot form, which had quite a lot of functionalities. Copper and Franky were quite invested in this. Around this time, the real straw hats have caught on to the ruckus stirred up by the fake ones, and the marines have been mobilized as well. Rayleigh took command and asked Nami to navigate the ship, and the straw hats who had already assembled on the ship started on their next venture after two years.
On the other side, One fake Luffy was going to have Luffy punished publicly. This was when the Marines found their entrance and asked everyone to surrender. Of course, they did not comply, so the Marines brought the big guns out: the pacifistas. Sentoumaru also made her appearance here as well. The pacifistas took out every goon there one after the other and fake Luffy was finally at his wits end. Sentoumaru knocked him out personally, and he even detected the location of the real Luffy in between all the chaos.
Luffy wanted to avoid any trouble with Sentoumaru. So he chose not to deal with her and just dealt with a single pacifista and made a run for it. He met up with Sanji and Zoro on the way, who dealt with the remaining pacifista. Luffy saw Rayleigh in the distance and thanked him for everything he had done for the past two years. The episode came to a close here.
