A live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga was said to be in production in 2017. Not many developments have been announced since then.
Recently Netflix announced that it would exclusively stream a Hollywood live-action series based on the One Piece manga. Eiichiro Oda, the series creator, will be serving as an executive producer. The first season of the adaptation will have ten episodes.

A message from Oda was also tweeted out, which says:
“I know I announced the production of this back in 2017, but these things take time! Preparations have been slowly progressing behind the scenes, and it seems that I can finally make the big announcement: Netflix, the world’s leading streaming entertainment service, will be lending us their tremendous production support! This is so encouraging!! How far will the story progress over the ten episodes of Season 1? Who will be cast!? Please be patient a little longer and stay tuned!!”
One Piece is currently in the Wano arc with the Law and Straw Hat pirate alliance trying to take down Kaido.
About One Piece:
The man who had acquired everything in this world, the Pirate King, is Gol D. Roger. The final words he said at the execution tower were “My treasures? If you want it, I’ll let you have it. Look for it; I left all of it at that place.” These words sent many to the seas, chasing their dreams, headed toward the Grand Line, in search of One Piece.
Thus began a new age! Seeking to be the greatest pirate in the world, young Monkey D. Luffy also heads toward the Grand Line in search of One Piece. With his diverse crew joining him along the way, consisting of a swordsman, marksman, navigator, cook, doctor, archaeologist, and cyborg-shipwright, this is one memorable adventure.
