The title of One Piece episode 996 is “Onigashima in Tumult! Luffy’s All-Out War Begins!”
From the preview at the end of episode 995, we can be sure that while Kaido is occupied with the Akazaya, Luffy will be busy fighting Big Mom.
Anyway, we all know that Big Mom came to Wano just to redeem herself by getting her revenge on Luffy, who wreaked havoc in Whole Cake Island and successfully escaped.
Even though everyone has arrived and the battle has started, Momonosuke has not been rescued.
I’m sure we will get to see Momonosuke being rescued by someone unexpected now that everyone is occupied with their own battles.

Recap of Episode 995
Episode 995, titled “Raid! Inheriting Oden’s Will!” starts with Kaido remembering moments of his battle with Oden.
He also remembers saying that he had been waiting for a formidable opponent like Oden who could defeat Kaido.
The episode cuts to the present, where Kaido once again asks Orochi’s men if they will join him or choose to be killed like Orochi.
Obviously, no one has the guts to stand up to a guy like Kaido, so they pledge their loyalty to Kaido immediately without any hesitation.
Hyogoro, who has blended with the crowd, witnesses this and is disappointed in the cowardly nature of the samurais.
Meanwhile, the Akazya are storming the castle and battling everyone on their way to get to Kaido and avenge Oden.
Kaido then states that there will be no remnants from the past Wano as he plans on building a new Wano.
He mentions that he does not care about the Kozuki or Kurozumi or any other family and will annihilate them all.
Kaido states that he cannot believe that Momonosuke is the son of the daring Oden since he is such a coward.
He then approaches Momonsuke and asks him his name to intimidate him and force him to lie.
Even though Momonosuke is filled with fear, he musters up the courage to speak up to Kaido and state that he is Oden’s son and will be the Shogun of Wano.
Luffy and the others overhear Momonosuke stand his ground and are proud of him. At that moment, Yamato and Luffy crash the live floor and get ready to rescue Momonosuke.
As Yamato is about to engage in battle against Kaido, Luffy stops her saying that they are not supposed to be the ones to start this battle.
The episode ends with Kin’emon and the others arriving and ambushing Kaido, thus initiating the long-awaited battle.
