One Piece Episode 991: Release Date, Speculation, And Watch Online

One Piece Episode 990, titled “Thunder Bagua! Here Comes Kaido’s Son!” aired this week.

Last, we saw that the traitor Kanjuro delivered Momonosuke to Orochi and Kaido. He further informed the arrival of the Samurais alongside Luffy and the other pirates to Orochi, who started panicking and decided to execute Momonosuke to weaken the Samurais’ spirits. 

In the latest episode, we saw Luffy hash it out with Ulti, who acknowledged him as a strong opponent due to his Haki. Obviously, pirates can’t play fair, so Ulti and Page One ganged up on Luffy to take him down. We finally saw Yamato make his appearance and rescue Luffy from a sticky situation.

Episode 991 Speculations and Discussions

One Piece Episode 991 is titled “Enemy or Ally? Luffy and Yamato!”

Since Yamato claims to be Kaido’s son, Luffy will be on his guard. He may even try to battle him. 

I’m sure that Yamato will be able to stand his ground since he took down Ulti with a single blow. 

Nonetheless, I think Yamato will manage to convince Luffy that he is an ally. He may also reveal that he has a grudge against Kaido, which should probably make Luffy trust him. 

Episode 991 Release Date

Episode 991 of the One Piece anime, titled “Enemy or Ally? Luffy and Yamato!”, has been released on Sunday, Sep 12, 2021.

No, One Piece is not on break this week. Episode 991 is set to air as scheduled. No delay has been announced.

Recap of Episode 990

Episode 990, titled “Thunder Bagua! Here Comes Kaido’s Son!” starts with Orochi ordering his men to prepare the execution stage for Momonosuke.

He feels that executing the leader of the Samurais will weaken their spirit. 

Kaido’s men are chasing Yamato everywhere. On the other hand, Yamato is desperately searching for a certain someone. Apparently, he has been waiting for a decent amount of time for this person to show up. 

Meanwhile, Luffy confronts Ulti and Page One, who stumble in front of him. Page One deduces that Luffy is an intruder and tells Ulti about it.

Ulti questions Luffy regarding who he is, to which Luffy boldly states his name and claims that he will be the next Pirate King. 

Ulti loses her cool after hearing this statement as she claims that Kaido will be the next Pirate King. 

She then proceeds to headbutt Luffy, who falls after underestimating her strength, causing the floor to break. 

Ulti and Page One immediately transform into their Dragon form as they acknowledge Luffy as a strong opponent due to his Haki. 

Luffy then jumps back into action and takes on Ulti and Page One on his own. He completely overwhelms Page One.

In that process, Ulti catches him off guard and prepares to deliver another powerful headbutt that could shatter his skill, regardless of his armament Haki. 

Just as he is about to use his Gear Fourth, Yamato arrives and brings Ulti down with his Thunder Bagua, rescuing Luffy.

The episode ends with Yamato escaping with Luffy and revealing that he is Kaido’s son.
