So far, King called Tobi Roppo out by mentioning Kaido’s name to inform them to find Kaido’s son, Yamato. Kaido’s men tested Luffy’s anger as they kept wasting food. Zoro slashed a whole building down just to get to Luffy, creating a huge uproar. 

Luffy and Zoro revealed their identity by creating a scene and resorted to running away since they did not want to ruin Kin’emon’s plan.

Scratchmen Apoo used his abilities to inflict damage on them. Kid decided to intervene as he held a grudge against Apoo.

Episode 987 Speculations and Discussions

One Piece Episode 987 is titled “His Dream Broken?! The Trap That Lures Sanji!”

From the name of the title, we can assume what’s going to happen. Sanji is going to fall prey to another woman’s charms, who will then trap him. 

Since his morals do not let him fight a woman, either Robin or Nami will have to come to his rescue, or it is the end for him.

On the other hand, Luffy, Zoro, and Kid have attracted too much attention to themself. I’m sure they’re going to be tired after having to fight large numbers of Kaido’s men, and since they’ve all eaten the Smile fruit, they’re comparatively strong.

Episode 987 of the One Piece anime, titled “His Dream Broken?! The Trap That Lures Sanji!”, has been released on Sunday, Aug 15, 2021.

No, One Piece is not on break this week. Episode 987 is set to air as scheduled. No delay has been announced.

Recap of Episode 986

Episode 986, titled “Fighting Music! An Ability That Harms Luffy!” starts with Luffy explaining why he lost his temper to Zoro. 

After hearing Luffy’s reason, Zoro joined in as he also has a soft spot for Tama and the others. 

Although they are itching to fight Kaido’s men and want to teach them a lesson, they decide to run away as they cannot tire themselves out before facing Kaido.

It is too late though, Scratchmen Apoo already notices them and informs Queen about them. Queen puts forth an offer that whoever captures them will be granted the position of a Tobi Roppo.

Kaido’s men are riled up after hearing this and ambush Luffy and Zoro in full force. Luffy and Zoro are able to get through them but still find it challenging due to their large numbers. 

Apoo uses this opportunity to get on Queen’s good books and attacks them. Luffy and Zoro are unable to evade his attacks. 

Apoo continuously keeps attacking them with his ability. Luffy and Zoro are helpless against him as they cannot anticipate his attacks. 

Zoro comes to the conclusion that Apoo is using his Music to attack him but is still unable to avoid it. 

Kid, who previously decided to stay away from all the chaos to sneak an attack on Kaido, sees Apoo and cannot control himself. 

The episode ends with Kid using his powers to attack Apoo since he betrayed him previously and is the reason Kaido captured him and his crew.
